How many slaves were architects?
I don't know the answer to the question, but I sure was proud to learn that slaves had built the beautiful Immanuel (Episcopal) Church in LaGrange, Tennessee.

Geobiologist Blanche Mertz writes that our ancestors had knowledge that we have lost. They knew for instance about land, the environment, the universe and the relationship between these. This knowledge governed their actions. They were tuned in to rhythms, movements, and acted accordingly. Is this so? What can we retrieve? Should we just keep moving on?
