Geobiologist Blanche Mertz writes that our ancestors had knowledge that we have lost. They knew for instance about land, the environment, the universe and the relationship between these. This knowledge governed their actions. They were tuned in to rhythms, movements, and acted accordingly. Is this so? What can we retrieve? Should we just keep moving on?

Hi Dr. Mcleod, on 3/15 I sent an email to you at the last road to freedom email address. I recently came across an ICPSR data set (that I can't access):
Union Army appraisal of contrabands and runaways in MS 1863-1865.
The description states that the data set contains slave name and the name of the county (along with a description, price, etc).
I thought you might be interested in it and maybe sharing the info with others, or perhaps just taking a look for me for some names. If you're able to.
My email is samantha_t_jones@yahoo.com if you're interested in learning more.
Thanks!
