How many slaves were architects?

I don't know the answer to the question, but I sure was proud to learn that slaves had built the beautiful Immanuel (Episcopal) Church in LaGrange, Tennessee.

Hi Dr. Mcleod, on 3/15 I sent an email to you at the last road to freedom email address. I recently came across an ICPSR data set (that I can't access):

Union Army appraisal of contrabands and runaways in MS 1863-1865.

The description states that the data set contains slave name and the name of the county (along with a description, price, etc).

I thought you might be interested in it and maybe sharing the info with others, or perhaps just taking a look for me for some names. If you're able to.

My email is samantha_t_jones@yahoo.com if you're interested in learning more.

Thanks!
